We are delighted to assist a valued repeat client in their search for an experienced live-in nanny. The family is seeking a dedicated professional with newborn experience to provide attentive care for their growing family.
The household currently includes a newborn baby and a 3-year-old sibling who has a dedicated nanny. The new nanny will initially work alongside the current nanny, assisting with both children, before transitioning into full-time newborn care. This role presents a long-term opportunity for a nurturing, patient, and reliable nanny who prioritizes infant well-being, development, and family harmony.
While the family prefers a candidate who is already local to the Bahamas, they are open to considering highly qualified applicants from other locations. The nanny will be expected to work collaboratively with other household staff, fostering a peaceful, warm, and respectful environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care for the newborn, focusing on feeding, sleep routines, and early development.
- Work alongside the current nanny to ensure a smooth transition and balanced support for both children.
- Assist with the 3-year-old sibling when needed, maintaining a cohesive caregiving approach.
- Engage the newborn in age-appropriate stimulation activities that promote early sensory and cognitive growth.
- Maintain and implement a structured daily routine, including mealtimes, naps, and bedtime schedules.
- Foster a nurturing, secure, and stimulating environment for all children.
- Work cohesively with the current nanny and other household staff, ensuring a positive and respectful team dynamic.
- Assist with light child-related housekeeping, including organizing play areas, baby essentials, and managing children’s belongings.
- Adapt to the family’s lifestyle and routines, demonstrating flexibility, teamwork, and a proactive approach to childcare.
The ideal candidate is a compassionate and proactive caregiver with a deep commitment to infant care, child development, and teamwork. She should have extensive experience with newborns and infants, understanding key developmental milestones and providing nurturing, structured care. A gentle, patient, and warm approach is essential to creating a secure and loving environment for the children. The ideal nanny should be flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working collaboratively with the current nanny and other household staff. Additionally, she should be independent and resourceful, capable of handling situations calmly and efficiently while maintaining a positive and harmonious household atmosphere.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of live-in nanny experience
- Proven experience caring for newborns
- Willingness to commit to a long-term position
- Ability to work in a team setting and support other caregivers as needed
- Fluent in English
- Childcare qualifications (preferred but not mandatory)
