Nanny with baby experience Description (Near Barcelona, Spain)

Position: Live-in, Permanent, Full-Time Nanny with baby experience Nr Barcelona
Location: La Pobla de Claramunt, near Barcelona, Spain
Child: 4-month-old baby
Contract: Minimum 2-year commitment
Accommodation: Private studio apartment on the ground floor
Salary: 2500 euros net pcm

Role Overview:

A creative and nurturing international family seeks an experienced nanny to care for their 4-month-old baby. Both parents are artists who work from home and deeply value a child-led approach to parenting. The family is looking for someone warm, patient, and knowledgeable with strong experience caring for newborns and toddlers. The nanny will provide full-time care, focusing on the baby’s developmental milestones and health. Expertise in early infant care is essential, particularly in feeding, daily routines, and sensory stimulation. The nanny will collaborate closely with the parents to develop and monitor a tailored developmental plan, regularly discussing and adjusting strategies as the baby’s needs evolve.

In addition to supporting the baby’s routine, the nanny will plan engaging activities, such as sensory play with natural materials, outdoor nature walks, and creative projects. Ensuring a safe and nurturing environment will also be a priority, which includes maintaining clean and organised play and sleep areas daily.

The nanny should be skilled at managing routines while maintaining flexibility, particularly during family travel. Due to the pet-friendly environment ( 5 dogs outside, and 2 cats inside), comfort around animals is essential. While a driving licence is preferred, it is not mandatory. First Aid and CPR certification are desirable to ensure safety.

Key requirements include:

• Extensive experience caring for both newborns and toddlers
• Knowledge of early years development
• A calm, child-led approach to caregiving
• First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
• Flexibility to travel with the family as needed
• Comfort working in a pet-friendly home
• Fluency in Spanish and basic English  
• Ability to work legally in Spain
